      1. Once you submit your application on the site, we guarantee a response within 15 days whether or not your application has been accepted.
      2. If you receive a positive response, your application will be forwarded to the relevant team, which will decide as quickly as possible whether or not a first meeting is worthwhile.
      3. After one (sometimes several) meeting(s), TotalEnergies may agree to launch an experiment to test the solution and enable possible industrial deployment. Depending on the project, the experimentation can last from 3 to 6 months on average.
      4. The legal conditions of the experimentation are lightened (a standard contract of about ten pages will be signed before the beginning of the experimentation). In the case of co-development, intellectual property issues will be systematically dealt with, as early as possible and with respect for both parties.
      5. The experimentation will be remunerated.
      6. The industrialization of the solution is subject to the success of the experimentation, to the start-up's ability to deliver its solution in compliance with TotalEnergies's quality and safety requirements and to the size of the solution's deployment perimeter.
      7. If the solution is industrialized, the legal aspects will be handled according to the standard procedures of the TotalEnergies company.

    • In addition to the challenges published on the site, a start-up can send an application to TotalEnergies either for a commercial partnership or to obtain financing: in the latter case, the application will be sent to the entities in charge of financing in France, TotalEnergies Développement Régional for a zero-interest loan.

    • Initial contact is made by the Innovation Department, then quickly by the business experts concerned by the innovation theme.

      If the response is positive, this means that Total may be interested in the proposed solution and the business line concerned is examining the application and the possibility of a meeting.
